DU Admission Open For 2025
About Delhi University (DU)
Delhi University (DU) is all set for the 2025 academic session, with the admission process expected to start in February-March. The university has announced several changes to the admission process for the 2025 session, including:
- CUET scorecard to be mandatory: Admission to all undergraduate programs at DU will be based on the CUET scorecard from 2025. The CUET scorecard is a normalized score that takes into account the candidate’s performance in the CUET exam and their Class 12 marks.
- Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS): DU will be using the CSAS for seat allocation in 2025. The CSAS is a centralized online seat allocation system that will be used by several central universities.
- Increased focus on holistic assessment: DU will be giving more weightage to holistic assessment in the admission process from 2025. This means that the university will consider factors such as co-curricular activities, sports achievements, and social service in addition to academic marks.
DU is also planning to introduce new undergraduate programs in the 2025 session. Some of the new programs that are being considered include
- Bachelor of Arts in Artificial Intelligence (BA AI)
- Bachelor of Arts in Data Science (BA DS)
- Bachelor of Arts in Cyber Security (BA CS)
- Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Visual Effects (BA AVE)
- Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television Studies (BA FTVS)
DU is also planning to expand its research programs and facilities in the 2025 session. The university is setting up new research centers and laboratories in various disciplines. DU is also planning to increase the number of PhD fellowships and scholarships offered to students.
DU is preparing for a major transformation in the 2025 academic session. The new admission process and the new programs and facilities will make DU even more attractive to students and researchers from all over the world.
